There are a lot of factors that affect the decision of the client to hire a virtual assistant. May that be a geographical location, timezone, computer specs, or soft skills. It really varies on what the client needs or wants. Here are five common factors that will affect your hirability.
Tenurity
Most of the clients want a virtual assistant that has some years of experience in the field that they are on. Whether it is a virtual assistant for real estate, social media manager, or graphic designer.Though some clients are accepting newbies considering they have the other factors.
Equipment
Equipment or resources just like soldiers being deployed to the war, clients need a virtual assistant that has the correct tools. Computer specs, fast and stable internet, and/or backup energy unit/s are just a few examples of the required resources.
Skill Set
This is as important as the equipment or resources since this is one of the factors that clients will look up on the internet. So, it’s better to acquire a few freelancing skills by enrolling yourself in a freelancing course, join Facebook groups and community, or just by watching videos on Youtube.
Location
Clients are looking for virtual assistants/freelancers who are located either within their country or in a English-speaking country. This varies to their experiences, words they’ve heard, or stereotypical to that specific country.
Availability
Being flexible to the client’s timezone is a must in this industry. You need to be available at a certain time or that depends to the needs of the clients
